Secret move keeps bin Laden records out of sight

"Welcome to the shell game in place of open government," said Thomas Blanton, director of the National Security Archive, a private research institute at George Washington University.

AP requested information about bin laden under the Freedom of Information Act... so the Pentagon sends the files to the CIA, and then deletes the files from their computers. Seems like pretty extreme steps to keep information hidden.
