Media Hypocrisy

Obama Supports Voter ID in Kenya, But Sues U.S. States for Doing the Same Thing

While in Africa president Obama is praising efforts to create a national voter ID in Kenya, yet his Justice Department sues any state in the U.S. that requires ID when registering to vote. After digging a little deeper I found out that the $53 million for the Kenyan voter ID program came from the U.S. government.

American Celebrities Pimping Themselves Out Around the World

Are American Celebrities Pimping Themselves Out Around the World?  Jennifer Lopez performed "Happy Birthday" for the leader of country known for human rights violations, and her show was paid for by China National Petroleum Corp.  So it seems she was helping the Chinese impress the leaders of one of the most repressive countries in the world.  Either nobody on her staff checked out the country beforehand, or the money was just too good to pass up.

NSA Bugging the EU

This would be like one of our allies bugging offices in the Capitol Building.  There needs to be a thorough housecleaning in Washington.

St. Louis alderman Shane Cohn used $15,000 of taxpayer funds to light up a public war memorial for gay pride.

Hillary Clinton to be Awarded Medal

It seems that no matter how incompetent you are in DC, there is an award for you.  Hillary Clinton is receiving the Liberty Medal, and guess who is presenting it to her... Jeb Bush.

But I thought when guns are banned nobody has to worry about mass murders.

Alec Baldwin Lashes Out At Journalist With Homophobic Threats... Media Gives Him a Pass

I am a bit curious why the media is not all over Alec Baldwin for the homophobic slurs he used in a number of tweets today... considering how they treated Paula Deen for using a slur over 20 years ago. Will the companies he does commercials for now drop him?

In an attempt to delete the tweets he closed the Twitter account, but he should know by now that once you post online it is there to stay.

Biometric Database of All Adult Americans Hidden in Immigration Reform

“The most worrying aspect is that this creates a principle of permission basically to do certain activities and it can be used to restrict activities,” he said. “It’s like a national ID system without the card.”

“It starts to change the relationship between the citizen and state, you do have to get permission to do things,” said Chris Calabrese, a congressional lobbyist with the American Civil Liberties Union. “More fundamentally, it could be the start of keeping a record of all things.”

Massive Tax Fraud By Illegal Aliens

In 2011 the IRS sent 53,994 refunds to illegal aliens at 10 addresses totaling $86,352,307.00.  That means over $86 million sent to illegal aliens filing thousands of fraudulent tax returns from just 10 addresses.

And that is only the tip of the iceberg, with those being only the top 10 addresses.  There were 154 addresses around the country that had 1,000 or more claims filed from them by illegal aliens.  In Morganton, North Carolina the IRS issued 6,411 ITINs, the number the IRS gives illegal aliens so they can file for these tax refunds, to a single address.  However, according to the 2010 Census, there were only 16,681 people in Morganton.  That meant 38 percent of the town's population were illegal aliens living at a single address.

Illegal aliens should not be allowed to file tax returns or be issued refunds.  The IRS also needs to be abolished, and the U.S. should have a flat tax with no loopholes, exemptions, write-offs, deductions, credits, and refunds... just everyone paying the same percentage.

The Thrill Is Gone...

Out of Control Political Correctness

Curious how far the left is taking this politically correct no profiling idea? The New York city council is working on a bill that will ban the police from identifying a suspect’s age, gender, color or disability. So when they are identifying or describing a suspect on the radio or to the public, they will basically only be able to describe the clothes the person is wearing. I am starting to believe more and more that liberalism is a disease which takes away all common sense or logic.

1 in 12 on Bloomberg’s gun victims list are crime suspects

Mayor Bloomberg's little "Mayors Against Illegal Guns" group is running around the country holding rallies where they read off names of people killed by guns.  It turns out that one in 12 people on their list are crime suspects killed by police or armed citizens acting in self-defense.  They even had Boston Marathon terrorist Tamerlan Tsarnaev listed as a victim of gun violence.

President Obama to Supply Weapons to Syrian Terrorists

I feel so much better knowing that included in the arms president Obama is providing the "rebels" will not be anti-aircraft weapons. According to a Wall Street Journal article, the fear is they might be used against civilian aircraft... you know, like something terrorists would do. Why do our leaders in Washington think the only solution to the conflicts in the middle-east is to send weapons to people who hate us?

White House Changes "Founding Fathers" to "Founding Founders"

Can this White House be any more politically correct. They posted a new archive where they called our nation's founding fathers the "Founding Founders."
Looks like someone decided to change the title back to "Founding Fathers."

Mass Spying on Americans Failed to Stop Terrorists

These two were probably more active online and on their smart phones than most terrorists, yet the government failed to notice or stop their plans.

Oh How Quickly He Changed His Tune

Amazing to see how quickly Obama changed his view on freedom.

U.S. Government Watching Your Every Move

Let's compare the current government spying on Americans to pre-internet and pre-cell phone days.  The government having unlimited access to your cell phone calls, text messages, email, social media and online activity would be like them opening and copying everyone's mail, putting a wiretap on all our home phone lines, and putting a microphone and camera in every car and home.

U.S. Government Spying On All Americans, But Not Catching Terrorists

Interesting how the wholesale spying on American citizens failed to stop the Boston bombers... two young guys who were probably more active online and on their smart phones than your average terrorist.

In the last two years, more Americans were spied on by the government than in the previous ten years.

In the last two years, more Americans were spied on by the U.S. government than in the previous ten years.

We can blame Bush for the Patriot Act, but Obama has taken it to an all new level.

All Americans Treated Like Suspected Terrorists

The revelations of wholesale spying on Americans by the U.S. government have shown us that we are all considered to be suspects.  The government no longer only investigates criminals and terrorists, but instead are watching all of us.  Big Brother is here.

Internet Companies Spying on Americans for the Government

Zuckerberg: "Facebook is not and has never been part of any program to give the US or any other government direct access to our servers."

Google CEO Larry Page: "We have not joined any program that would give the US government – or any other government – direct access to our servers."

Yahoo: "We do not provide the government with direct access to our servers, systems, or network."

Why does it seem like all the denials were written by the same person.  They all repeat the same claim of not giving "direct access" to their servers.  Of course they never say anything about giving indirect access.

It is now being revealed that some employees of these internet companies were given national security clearance, and that NSA agents were allowed to install government developed software on the company servers.
